Orlando forecast shows a sunny Fri-Sun. With so many cancelled trips is this weekend ideal to arrive to empty parks with no lines? Or will the hurricane impact negatively impact a visit through next week?

ZebZ If you don't see the d ishness in this comment, oof. If an earthquake wrecked Anaheim, would you rush to Disneyland? Jaded-Function OP You're making this sound like I'm capitalizing on the Hurricane damage to take a vacation. I've had Disney booked for Tues-Sunday. My travel decisions and my compassion level for people in danger are COMPLETELY unrelated.

purplejackets I mean, if it's truly as bad as it's predicted you may not be able to even get to Disney. Roads will be blocked by down trees and debris, there could still be standing water on roads, people who evacuated TO Orlando will be trying to return to their homes, etc. As a huge Disney fan, an Orlando local, and an AP holder, don't arrive to Disney just because it'll be low wait times. If you're already coming into town for a trip, there's probably little reason to cancel but don't come do

MiccioC This is spot on, especially about the people in shambles. "Sure, your life is a living but I need to get on Tron extra quickly..." right now

Jaded-Function OP Trip is booked. If I fly out two days later instead of cancelling a much needed break from life with my little girl then I'm an insensitive Got it thanks.

EmptyJournals If you don't want honest opinions from people in the Disney World subreddit, don't post! This subreddit isn't a monolith for everyone to applaud all things Disney. Take a look at many of the comments, and you will see I'm not alone in this thinking. You're the one who is coming off as extremely sensitive in reaction.

Jaded-Function OP No I'm not offended or feeling hurt, I'm curious to understand mostly. Are you implying right or wrong can be rightfully determined by the amount of reddit votes a poster receives? Consensus opinion is well represented here by the downsayers?

Jaded-Function OP Making the impact of Hurricane Milton a focal point in a DisneyWorld sub would be like posting NFL stats in the baseball sub, which would get deleted. This isn't a weather, hurricane or local Floridian hurricane sufferers sub. It's a theme park sub. People travel to theme parks and talk about their travel plans here. Hurricane impact discussions belong elsewhere, IMO.

SavageGardner Categories don't determine potential for flooding or how damage takes place. It is wind speed. Educate yourself and please don't use resources that can benefit locals who will need them.

Jaded-Function OP Ok tell me what I'm failing to realize here. You mean my travelling to the region, or a large amount of people rather, will be detrimental to the locals? Keeping resources from those who need them more? How and what resources exactly? If this was the case, wouldn't the airlines be at fault for not haulting all flights to the area?
